Border Buck Delivers Timeless EP, “What Ya Life Like”
February 7, 2020Born and raised in East Harlem, Border Buck debuts his first project, “What Ya Life Like.” After working with artists like Dave East and Smoke DZA, Buck knew his time was coming. “What Ya Life Like” – was release on all streaming platforms on January 24th, that includes tracks like “Hustler’s Dream” and “Stand in Life” featuring Bodega Bamz. This tape tells the story of the everyday struggles in many urban communities. If serves as a reminder that once you focus on your goals you can be successful regards of your circumstance.
Growing up between New York City and North Philly Badlands, Buck is no stranger challenging environments. The pain, struggle and motivation it took to overcome his upbringing is displayed throughout “What Ya Life Like”. Over heavy boom bap beats and soulful melodies made by producers like, Triple A, J Demers, and TriForce. Border Buck uses his deep voice to mesh through frightening tales of painful losses, and ultimately the description of surviving it all.
With such overwhelming positive feedback, Buck now delivers the music video for “Up The Score” featuring Mike Benji – which features the artists’ on their home turf and displaying the contrast between Benji’s melodic auto-tuned flow and Buck’s timeless and substantial bars over bassy 808’s.
