MEET @KingQ
March 15, 2017King Q also known as Quodjoe hailing from Ghana, is one of the founding members of Klassic King Entertainment and is a fairly new indie artist in the Hip Hop industry. The rising star has begun to make a name for himself through his unique spin on the music genre, adding his own flair to not only his music but on the many tracks he been featured on. King Q has worked with artists such as Mister Classic, The realest Alka, CosmosGH, YoungEd, Karissa and Producers like Mixedbynellz, OvieTheCreator, Nero, VacsOnIt, Kris Ja’Lon, on projects such as Cold World EP by Mister Classic, Gone Crazy by CosmosGH, and Mind & Heart by Alka. All of which have helped allow him to try his hand at multiple styles within the parameters of hip hop.
King Q would describe his flow as different and captivating, which are both themes displayed on the tracks “Twerk It” and “Blackbird” that have been highly successful on sound cloud. The success of these tracks and others have landed him on stages such as Art fest hosted by Zeke Jaye, Uni-G x Friends, the OverTime Music Series by MajorStage, and countless Open Mics at Universities and High Schools across the state, allowing him to really branch out as an artist. While King Q would rather not compare his sound to any one, he does admit that there are a few artist in the game that do motivate and inspire him such as M.anifest, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Chance The Rapper, Big Sean, E.L, Medikal, Worlasi, MGK and Stormzy, however his flow is still his own. While King Q does work tirelessly to build up himself and his brand. He has still been able to work diligently on his EP entitled “95” released in January of this year. With all that King Q has done since the start of his career, it is safe to say he’s definitely an artist to look out for in the coming months an certainly throughout the year
