New York’s SXSW, Daze Summit Festival Continues To Grow More Every Year!

In 2016, Scott Morris launched the first Daze Summit Festival in New York City. Since then it has continued to grow more every year. In 2015, Scott created his own talent agency and event planning company, Mor.Bookings Agency. After the great success of his college “Deans List Tour,” Morris wanted to take it up a notch and develop this annual festival, that would give independent artist an opportunity to perform and gain organic exposure on and offline.

Daze Summit Festival is basically New York’s version of SXSW blended with some New York flavor and raw talent. It started on April 11, 2022 to April 21, 2022 and was sponsored by Mor.Bookings, Underground Advocatez and New Heat Studios. The festival features events such as, showcases, panels, and mixers for all creatives to network.  Independent artists had the opportunity to perform in front of music executives and label reps from some of the following companies: Asylum, Epic, Atlantic, Interscope, AllepacTheFamily, Quality Control, DIEMON, Warner, EQ, Roc Nation, 300 ent and more.

Daze Summit consisted of panels and events by some of the industry’s biggest movers and shakers. From A&Rs, to Music Executives, DJs, Entrepreneurs, Producers, Publicists, Journalists and Radio Hosts every discussed different topics daily. Through these conversations they were able to share beneficial information that all creatives can use to reach new pinnacles. Many spoke about their struggle of being overlooked and underpaid and how they used that as motivation to excel and network correctly. Every panel shared how we can come together to win and push the culture with new talent and ideas. For those who performed they were able to connect with radio stations and record labels after every show. It gave them the opportunity to network with the right people. This year‘s festival was definitely one of the most influential ones yet.
