Bronx, New York is the mecca of many hip-hop legends and continues to create more artists that evolve as time goes on. Emerging artist, Starmade Day is a self-made success. Growing up in Harlem and the Bronx, he was surrounded by different lifestyles and used them as inspiration for his music. He started writing in the 8th grade, inspired by DMX and Jay-Z. In 2011, he went on to create his independent recording label, M.A.D.E. (My Ambition Drives Everything). After having his last project, Artificial Intelligence, feature in The Rapfest, Kazi Magazine, Hustle and Grynd, he showed us all that he will not be stopping or running out of creative ideas anytime soon.

His newest record, “I-95/ Don’t Understand” features Shoota Shawn. It begins with an upbeat pace and beautifully transitions half-way through to a more deep and emotional sound. The emotions can be felt in both the music and the lyrics. Teaching the audience about their pasts and the struggles they have faced to get to where they are today. The visuals of the video follow him and his friends going around the city streets together and driving down I-95. This latest project is hot, and everyone can look forward to seeing more of StarMade Day.
